We're an Adult Recreational Dodgeball League through the Dewdney East Community Association in Regina, SK.
Founded in 2005, DECA Rec Dodgeball has been continuously building that fun social league that takes you back to Elementary Gym Class.
We play a modified WDBF Rule set with 7” foam balls (included with team registration) on Friday evenings for 1 hour per week.
Mixed teams play with 6 athletes on the court (minimum 2 players of another gender) plus an additional 3 ball shaggers in the out of bounds area.
Ideal roster size of 9-15 players.
Black soled shoes are not allowed.
DIVISIONS
Divisions are based on the experience and skills of a team - not on their competitive behaviour! No matter what skill level you register for, all players are expected to play with a 'fun-first, winning-second' attitude.
A: ADVANCED
Intensely fast-paced, loud, and strategic.
Teams with 4 or more High Performance Athlete Memberships* must be enrolled in Division A.
B: INTERMEDIATE
Moderately competitive. Teams want to win but prioritize a friendly, sportsmanship-first environment.
C: RECREATIONAL
High laughter, low intensity. Best for casual players looking for exercise and social interaction.
*High Performance Memberships (HPM) are required to participate and/or compete at any Saskatchewan Dodgeball or Dodgeball Canada competitions and/or events. Teams with four or more HPM players will play in Division A - regardless of standings or skill. DECA Dodgeball will be verifying memberships.
